POSITION DESCRIPTION
Assists in provision of nursing care to patients and supervision of associated personnel in these related activities. Supervises care given and services rendered in single operating room units. Assists with surgical procedures in scrub and circulating duties, and supervises non-professional personnel in these areas. Assists in orientation, training and education of personnel. Assists in administrative and related duties as required and directed. Assists in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for all. Assists in provision of continuity of individual patient care. Maintains open-ended communication and collaboration with all other hospital departments and physicians. On-call hours will be required.

REQUIREMENTS
Education Needed
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed to practice in the state of Indiana. CPR certification is required.


Preferred Experience
Training and experience in surgery is desired, but not essential.
