Jeffrey Hartzell, MD, joins Wabash Orthopaedic Center

Wabash County Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. Jeffrey L. Hartzell to its active medical staff. He will be joining Dr. Robert Jackson and Dr. Charles Kershner at the Wabash Orthopaedic Center, in the office located in the lower level of WCH. He specializes in all disorders of the shoulder, knee and elbow.

Dr. Hartzell completed his undergraduate work at DePauw Univeristy, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in physics. He achieved his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Hartzell then completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville,Florida, and an Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham,Alabama.

“One thing that drew me to Wabash County was the close community and the ability for me to be involved in the local high schools,” Dr. Hartzell explained. “I have a passion for sports medicine, and I hope to keep all the dedicated athletes in top condition.”

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Hartzell spent several years at Fort Wayne Orthopaedics before moving to Jonesboro, Arkansas, where he spent the last year working at Jonesboro Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
