POSITION TITLE Staff Pharmacist DEPARTMENT Pharmacy CareCenter WORK CLASS 4/5 - Time SHIFT (HOURS OF WORK) Days PAY RANGE Based on experience POSITION DESCRIPTION Dispenses and prepares medications according to prescriptions and physician's orders of the Medical Staff. Furnishes drug information to the medical and nursing staffs. Assists the Pharmacy Director in maintaining the Pharmacy CareCenter in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations and hospital and department policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS Education Must be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. Must hold a current Pharmacy license in Indiana. Experience Must be oriented and knowledgeable in the specialized functions of the hospital Pharmacy CareCenter. This may be obtained via accredited college courses &/or on-the-job experience. Two or more years as a hospital Pharmacist or three to five years as a retail Pharmacist is preferred.
