Accredited since 1988 by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons, the Parkview Wabash Hospital Oncology program offers cancer patients advanced chemotherapy treatment close to home – under the supervision of highly skilled physicians. Oncologists from Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology visit the hospital weekly to provide on-site oncology consultation, treatment and follow-up care. They are supported by a team of oncology certified nurses who help administer the best available treatment today.
Additionally, the H.O.P.E. Foundation encourages support beyond treatment by providing free screenings, clinical trials and an annual survivor’s day banquet. H.O.P.E. can also provide financial assistance with transportation, wigs and some medication.
